A Therapist in Brandon, FL for Adults Working Through Change

Individual therapy in person in Brandon and online across Florida and Colorado. Together we look at the patterns that keep repeating and build more choice in how you relate to yourself, other people, and your life.

Therapy May Be a Good Fit If…

• You keep ending up in the same
relationship patterns, even though you
understand them.

• You feel disconnected from yourself or
unsure what you actually want.

• You struggle to say what you need, set
boundaries, or stay present during conflict.

• A life change has shaken your sense of
identity, direction, or purpose.

• You look capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, restless, or stuck inside.

• You want therapy that goes deeper than coping strategies.

You don’t need a perfectly defined problem or a clear therapy goal. We can begin with where you are and find our way from there.

I’m Maria Reardon, a licensed clinical social worker with more than 12 years of experience. I offer individual therapy at my office on Millennium Parkway in Brandon and online for clients throughout Florida and Colorado. I work with adults on relationships, identity, emotional patterns, and periods of change.

My approach is relational, attachment-informed, depth-oriented, and somatic. I’m a Somatic Experiencing® Student (Intermediate Level), and that body-based training is part of how I work.

What I Help With

Therapy for Men

Many of the men I work with were raised to handle hard things alone, and they’re starting to see what that costs them at home and at work. Therapy for men in Brandon gives you a place to put words to what you feel, understand where anger or shutting down comes from, and respond with more steadiness when it matters.

Life Transitions and Identity

Midlife, a career change, the end of a relationship, a move, or a child leaving home can shake your sense of who you are. Therapy for life transitions is a place to sort through what’s ending, what you want to carry forward, and who you’re becoming. This includes young adults figuring out what they want their lives to look like.

Relationship and Attachment Patterns

If you keep landing in the same kind of relationship or the same argument, there’s usually an older pattern underneath it. Therapy for relationship patterns looks at how you learned to attach, where people pleasing or pulling away started, and how to set boundaries that hold. This is individual work focused on you.

Somatic Therapy

Stress and old experiences can stay in the body long after the mind has moved on. A wild animal that escapes danger shakes it off and resets, while people often hold it in. Somatic therapy in Brandon works with what you feel in your body, in small, manageable steps, so your nervous system can settle. My Somatic Experiencing® training shapes this work.

High-Functioning Anxiety and Burnout

Some people look like they have everything handled while running on worry, pressure, or exhaustion underneath. Therapy for anxiety and burnout looks at what’s driving the constant pushing, including perfectionism and trouble resting. We work with the patterns underneath it so you can build a pace you can sustain.

Online Therapy in Florida and Colorado

If you live outside Brandon, anywhere in Florida or Colorado, we can meet by video. Online therapy in Florida and Colorado is the same depth-oriented work as sessions in my office, from a private space at home or wherever you’re comfortable. It also works well for busy schedules or long commutes.

How I Work

Understanding why you do something doesn’t always change what happens in the moment. Our work pays attention to your thoughts and emotions, your relationship and attachment patterns, your past, and what happens in your body and nervous system.

The goal is for what you understand to become something you can live differently. You can read more about my approach to therapy.

What to Expect

This is ongoing work, and most clients meet with me regularly over several months or longer. A few things to know up front:

• I work with adults 18 and older in individual therapy.
• I don’t provide couples or family therapy, addiction treatment, court-related work, custody evaluations, or FMLA and disability paperwork.
• [Maria: session length and how often we meet]
• [Maria: cancellation and late policy]
• [Maria: contact between sessions]

The full details are on my fees and FAQ page.

Fees

Sessions are $125. I’m private pay and don’t bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can give you a superbill to submit to your plan, so check your coverage with your insurance first. There’s no sliding scale.
